Dear *{{First Name}}*,
I'm sure you are aware of the important role that Public Advocates in Community re-Entry (PACE) plays in helping people whose lives are impacted by incarceration. This important work is supported largely by the support of generous donors who contribute to our annual campaign. Since moving to the Genesis Plaza in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood 10 years ago, we have outgrown our office space three times and the demand for our services is at an all-time high.
PACE serves roughly 2,500 clients annually, while nearly 5,000 re-enter the Central Indiana community each year. This past year and now into 2022, our goal is to raise $1 million to move to a new “forever home” that would dramatically increase the size and number of programs we are able to offer to our clients. In order to continue making a difference in the lives of individuals affected by felonies, it is vital for this campaign to be a success.
Can we count on you to make a tax-deductible gift of $100 or more? By doing so you'll be helping us meet our most vulnerable neighbors where they are to help them build healthy, productive, and inspiring lives. Additionally, you'll be recognized for your generosity as a capital campaign supporter on the PACE website and in the annual report. The struggles our clients face have increased, and we need your help more now than ever.
Sincerest thanks for your continued interest and support, Rhiannon Edwards Executive Director Advanced Manufacturing Training Pilot with EmployIndy Through our partnership with EmployIndy, we were able to pilot an Advanced Manufacturing Training program and connect our younger, YES program clients with employers and positions in high-paying, high-demand work opportunities. The goal of the program is to enable participants to gain soft and technical skills while getting relevant work experience, introduce employers, and lead to a paid position. Partnership with NaloxBox PACE is partnering with HIDTA to bring NaloxBoxes (overdose prevention supply boxes) to partner sites around Martindale-Brightwood in 2022 and has already launched a series of billboards and bus advertisements to encourage people to begin recovery and access lifesaving tools. By temporarily reversing the effects of overdoses, naloxone (Narcan) saves lives. We are a distribution site and have a NaloxBox on-site outside of our doors. Annual Recovery Celebration On September 18 we held our 4th annual Recovery Celebration and Shackleford Steps with Recovery 5K Walk and are pleased to share we raised $11,562! This event not only celebrates the recovery journey of PACE clients, staff, and community members, but also helps to fund our Recovery Resource Center, a collaborative initiative dedicated to providing a central point of information for substance use treatment and recovery. Annual Artspoken: Expression without Reserve On October 21 we held our 4th annual and second virtual "Artspoken: Expression without reserve" fundraiser on Facebook Live and raised a grand total of $16,366! We would like to graciously thank everyone who helped make this event possible and who supported us during the live event. Indiana Women's Prison Pre-Release Initiative After delays and disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, our pre-release coordinator was able to begin providing services to 19 clients currently housed at the Indiana Women’s Prison. These clients not only attend group counseling sessions, but also receive support to reconnect with their families, develop life skills, and begin arranging for documents and other assets they will need for a successful re-entry.
