PACE
is Breaking the
Chains
PACE's first
Breaking the Chains cohort has graduated
from Pendleton Correctional Industrial
Facility! The program is funded by Lilly
Endowment Inc. to support violence
reduction in Marion County through
pre-release services to incarcerated
individuals. PACE has designed an
intervention that teaches individuals
ways to learn and manage emotional
regulation and develop healthy coping
and problem-solving skills.
To
address criminogenic thinking and the
depth of issues caused by trauma, PACE
has designed an intervention that helps
to identify unique needs. Our team
facilitates Trauma MRT (Moral Reconation
Therapy), a systematic treatment
strategy designed to decrease recidivism
among individuals involved in the
criminal justice system by increasing
moral reasoning. MRT is the premiere
cognitive-behavioral treatment program
for substance use and incarcerated
populations.
