Recovery Resource Center
Our Mission & Vision
PACE’s Recovery Resource Center is a certified Recovery Community Organization (RCO), recognized by the State of Indiana for meeting state and national standards of service and support for those struggling with substance use disorder (SUD). Our peer recovery coaches maintain CAPRC II credentials through ICAADA, while Recovery Resource Center leaders maintain CADAC II credentials. Because recovery and trauma are dynamic fields, RRC team members also regularly attend continuing education opportunities. Individuals seeking recovery services are not required to have felony or misdemeanor convictions to become clients.
Recovery Services
Peer Recovery Coaching:
Our certified peer recovery coaches bring the lived experience of substance use disorder and recovery, combined with professionalized training, to assist others on their journeys to recovery.
Mental Health Service Referrals:
Through our partnership with Aspire Indiana Health, clients in need of intensive outpatient care, inpatient residency, medication-assisted recovery, and support for mental health disorders can be referred for treatment beyond peer recovery coaching and relapse prevention support.
Harm Reduction:
PACE proudly supports harm reduction approaches. Anyone can access our NaloxBox outside our office 24/7, which is regularly restocked with overdose prevention kits containing Naloxone and fentanyl test strips. Kits are also available inside our office during business hours. All staff are required to receive Naloxone administration training.
We also host frequent Community Conversations, inviting panels of experts from around the state to educate the public about the impact of the opioid crisis and to reduce the stigma around substance use disorder.
Relapse Prevention Groups:
PACE offers both men’s and women’s relapse prevention group meetings each week. Please refer to the PACE calendar or call our office at (317) 612-6800 to confirm dates.
Substance Abuse Assessments & Counseling:
Clinical assessments are provided by a certified substance- abuse counselor, as needed, to determine a treatment plan. Counselors evaluate the severity of substance use and abuse, prioritize treatment needs, and refer persons to the most appropriate treatment provider or provide substance abuse counseling in-house.
Recovery Works:
Over half of those incarcerated in Indiana state prisons struggle with substance use disorder. In January 2022, PACE became the administrator of the statewide Recovery Works program, connecting justice-involved individuals who are struggling with substance use disorder with treatment options that fit their needs. This program funds a voucher-based system and is intended to cover the cost of services for individuals without insurance or Medicaid coverage, with the goal of reducing recidivism. Individuals work with criminal justice partners (their home detention officers, probation or parole officers, etc.) to coordinate a referral to the program, and the PACE Recovery Works team members work directly with clients to identify their options for service.
Regional Recovery Hubs: Indiana Recovery Network, a program of Mental Health America of Indiana, has created Regional Recovery Hubs distributed around the state. These hubs connect Hoosiers with mental health and substance use disorders to treatment and recovery support. Our Recovery Resource Center is a proud Hub location in Central Indiana.

PACE created the Bradly A. Noel Recovery Fund in 2019. Bradly, who was passionate about recovery, advocated that addiction is a health issue and not a crime, and made an impact on everyone he met, sadly lost his life to addiction. In honor of his advocacy work and dedication to PACE, the PACE family is pleased to announce their newest fund, the Bradly A Noel Recovery Fund.
Gifts given to the Bradly A. Noel Recovery Fund will assist in the enhancement, expansion and delivery of recovery support services provided at our Recovery Resource Center. More specifically, it will help PACE cover the cost of barrier reduction funds, such as transportation assistance for bus passes, gas cards, or bicycles and protective gear, housing assistance for transitional housing, assistance with utilities or household items, parental education classes, food assistance gift cards, and more.
