Young Adult Services

PACE is a Youth Employment Services (YES) site via Employ Indy, serving justice-involved Opportunity Youth aged 17-24 who are currently not employed, enrolled, or enlisted. YES clients tour and meet with employers, access opportunities to develop skills, receive financial coaching, and more.

In late 2021, PACE was chosen to host a pilot program for advanced manufacturing careers in partnership with Employ Indy, Catapult, Ivy Tech, and Conexus Indiana. Participants attended a multi- week course comprised of classroom education, hands-on learning, mental health and soft skills coaching, and financial coaching. After completing the education component, participants moved on to paid work experiences with employers, earning the opportunity to secure permanent employment. Following a successful pilot, this program was fully launched in Spring 2022.

PACE is also a Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) site, working to strengthen and improve our nation's public workforce system and help get Americans, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs and careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers.

Individuals aged 17-24 who are interested in becoming PACE YES clients should contact Director of Young Adult Services Shaffon Browder at sbrowder@paceindy.org.
